GERMANY. Braun is returning to the TFWA Asia Pacific exhibition in Singapore after a brief hiatus, signalling the importance of the region in the development of Braun’s travel retail strategy. The announcement, made alongside confirmation of a return to the upcoming IAADFS show in Florida, highlights the value placed on the travel retail market by the major European brand.
At both fairs Braun will be exhibiting a selection of key travel retail products from its range of electric shavers, epilators, timepieces, travel hair dryers, ThermoScan instant thermometers, blood pressure monitors and Braun Oral-B power toothbrushes.
In a first for both regions, Braun will be presenting its new top-of-the-range Pulsonic shavers. The Pulsonic line has enjoyed sales “far above expectations” in the two launch markets thus far, the company said, as well as in duty free, where the range is exclusive until the international launch in August-September 2007.
Spring 2007 also sees Braun launch products designed for the female grooming marketplace in the Northern Hemisphere. The 2007 range of epilators “˜Braun Silk-épil Xelle’ come with X’pert-épil technology which enables them to remove more hairs in a single stroke than any other epilator, according to Braun.
The SmartLight feature highlights all hair, to put the user in full control. New active massaging rollers ensure that Silk-épil Xelle is gentle. Various additional attachments are available, such as a narrow epilation head, shaver head and precision head.
The Braun Silk&Soft lady shaver and trimmer, also being shown at both events, has new colours, new features and new attachments. These will be available for the rechargeable lady shaver LS 5560 and battery-operated LS 5160 models.
The integrated SoftStrip incorporated within the Silk&Soft stretches the skin and lifts problem hair, giving a smoother shave and leaving skin looking radiant, Braun said. Two new OptiTrim attachments for bikini line trimming and styling, and a rounded shaver head for under-arm reach are also provided.
Both Klaus Mellin and Wolf Ayen will be at the Braun stands in Fort Lauderdale and Singapore.
Braun will be exhibiting at booth 2520 at IAADFS, Fort Lauderdale.
