UK. Bristol International Airport, one of the fastest-growing UK airports, has launched a new online car park booking system as part of its aim to improve customer service.
Developed by Chauntry Technology, the system is designed to make booking online more convenient and provide a smoother customer experience when arriving at the car park.
Chauntry provided Bristol International with a wide spread of services and technologies which combine to give the airport complete control of its car park management.
Chauntry has implemented the latest version of its award-winning Chauntry Parkspace car park management system, which has been integrated not only with existing Skidata barrier equipment, but also with Bristol International’s CitySync CCTV system.
Chauntry has also provided the airport with its Chauntry Parkspace block-parking module, which Bristol uses to run its efficient Silver Zone long-term car park. The module maximises the use of space within the car park, while also ensuring that cars can always be easily retrieved when the customer returns.
Chauntry has also implemented a barcode-based key management system, which provides a digital audit trail for customers’ keys, improving the efficiency of the car park and reducing the possibility of loss or error.
Website improvements
Bristol Airport’s website (www.bristolairport.co.uk) has also been improved. Chauntry has provided the airport with new car park pre-booking functionality, replacing an inflexible template-driven system. The new service, which is integrated into the main website, provides customers with a fast pre-booking process.
Bristol International Financial Director Jim McAuliffe said: “This new flexible online system not only improves our customer’s booking and parking experience, but also allows us to manage our car parking services more efficiently. The team approached the project with energy and enthusiasm, and the results speak for themselves -the airport now has world-class parking technology, befitting its status as an international airport.”
