NETHERLANDS. Leading wholesaler and distributor B&S, through its Global Lifestyle division, has taken over the Dufri International electronics business.
The new entity will be called Dufri Global Lifestyle. The deal is effective from 16 April.
All customers and suppliers of Dufri international BV are being informed with a personal letter and phone call. All the company’s account managers will join the new entity.
In a statement the companies said: “Dufri Global Lifestyle will be able to support customers in travel retail with a wide assortment in electronics and dedicated advice in assortment, training and sales & marketing support. All this will be possible in the strong financial environment within the B&S group.
“The Dufri team wants to thank all relations for the trust and support in the last months and looks forward to working together in the coming years.”
Dufri started business in 1987 by representing Philips Consumer Electronics in the duty free market. Later more brands were added and today Dufri’s portfolio includes names such as: Philips, Sony, Braun, Apple iPod, Olympus, Princess, JVC, Sangean, Panasonic, Canon, Salora, Samsung, Freecom, Nokia, HTC, New Universe, Nikon, Sandisk, Bebook, Casio, Case Logic, Golla, Audeo, Leica, Ice diamond, Blackberry and many more.
B&S is an international wholesaler and distributor which provides food & beverage, bonded products and luxury items to a range of markets: ship suppliers, cruise lines, military and industrial catering and duty free.
