NETHERLANDS. B&S Group-owned Royal Capi-Lux has launched a home delivery option for shoppers at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, which the retailer said was part of its new omnichannel strategy.
The service began last month at Capi electronics stores in Lounges 1 and 2 and covers all products. These can be shipped within the Netherlands or to other EU states. The company began a similar service last November at Frankfurt Airport in Germany.

The company said: “Capi’s omnichannel strategy is tailored to location and store. In both stores at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, dedicated space is created for the Home Delivery concept. Capi even extended the assortment especially for this concept, with products such as Smeg small domestic appliances, Harman Kardon Citation and the Meural: a modern digital art frame. A selection of products is displayed in store for the ultimate shopping experience.”

Capi said it was adding value to the customer journey by extending potential “moments of purchase”. Capi offers travellers a selected online preview of its consumer electronics assortment at the airport, with the option to reserve a product online through the website before departure and collect it in the store of preference.
