Chanel this summer opened its first European airport fragrances & beauty boutique, in collaboration with Eurotrade and Gebr Heinemann at Munich Airport. Eurotrade is Munich Airport’s retail subsidiary.
The boutique offers the brand’s complete makeup, skincare and fragrance collections — supported by a curated selection of eyewear. The store design reflects the brand’s signature monochromatic palette, accented with familiar Chanel motifs such as camellias and pearls.
According to the brand, the design offers “a new way of telling Chanel’s story”, by inviting passengers to discover new releases alongside the complete range of fragrance, skincare, and makeup.
The makeup and skincare range was designed by Chanel Global Creative Makeup Director and Colour Designer Lucia Pica, and is brought to life in-store by Chanel’s beauty advisors. They are on-hand to help travelling customers create personalised beauty and skincare programmes that match their individual beauty needs.
The boutique’s extensive fragrance offer ranges from classic Chanel N°5 to the latest scents from Chanel perfumer Olivier Polge, Gabrielle Chanel Essence and Les Eaux de Chanel.
These are complemented by the Les Exclusifs de Chanel collection, 17 rare fragrances in identical bottles with entirely different stories, showcased appropriately like books.
The store also features a dedicated eyewear space featuring the brand’s latest sunglasses designs on black lacquered consoles that highlight Chanel’s classic codes: pearls, tweed and interlaced chains. The boutique offers plenty of cross-selling opportunities, allowing customers to match their Chanel beauty looks with different scents and eyewear models.
