USA. The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to gauge market interest in potential sponsorship and naming rights opportunities at Chicago O’Hare and Midway international airports.
CDA said the RFI is not a solicitation and will not result in the award of a contract. Instead, the information gathered will support planning for a possible future sponsorship or naming rights programme, operated separately from existing airport advertising activities.

Areas of interest include a wide range of airport assets, such as terminals and concourses, parking facilities, people-mover systems, roadway entries and passenger amenities, as well as sustainability-related infrastructure, including EV charging stations.
CDA is seeking industry input on potential valuation models, programme structures, compensation mechanisms and best practices observed at other major global airports.
The RFI also explores how sponsorships could be integrated with passenger experience, sustainability initiatives and Chicago’s cultural identity.
Responses are due by 17 February at 5pm CT, with submissions to be made electronically via email to CDASponsorshipRFI@cityofchicago.org ✈
