Chloé expands Atelier des Fleurs collection with limited-edition Cedrus fragrance

French illustrator Anne-Sophie Barlet designed the limited-edition bottle and packaging, translating the textures of cedar into fluid watercolour brushstrokes and hand-drawn motifs

Chloé (Coty) has expanded the Atelier des Fleurs collection with the limited-edition Cedrus fragrance. It launched in global travel retail at the beginning of September.

Cedrus was crafted by Perfumer Quentin Bisch and offers a fresh perspective on cedarwood, traditionally associated with dry notes. It combines cedar, sandalwood and vetiver with pink peppercorns, benzoin and ambertolide, creating a woody fragrance that balances warm, creamy and subtle floral notes.

Chloé has collaborated with French artist Anne-Sophie Barlet to create a limited-edition bottle and packaging design for Cedrus.

Barlet’s artwork features watercolour illustrations of cedarwood in shades of green, beige, rose and brown with black ink accents. The design is designed to evoke the softness and strength of cedar, reflecting the duality of the fragrance.

The bottle retains the signature Atelier des Fleurs silhouette, while featuring Barlet’s illustrations. A soft beige textured cap evokes sandy tones, a recurring source of inspiration for Aghion. Barlet’s illustrations also feature on the carton.

The Atelier des Fleurs line takes inspiration from Chloé Founder Gaby Aghion’s creative vision. Aghion was inspired by the intellectual and artistic scene of the Parisian Left Bank, whose influence is still present in Chloé’s fashion collections today.

According to the brand, each scent within Atelier des Fleurs draws parallels with the flowing silhouettes for which the House is renowned.
