Closing out a 60th anniversary: 12 days of Paradies Lagardère (Day 12)

US. 2020 may have been the toughest year in its history but that’s not stopping US travel retailer to restaurateur Paradies Lagardère from celebrating its 60th anniversary in style on social media with a festive ‘12 Days of Paradies Lagardère’ campaign.

To salute this notable landmark and to applaud the positive spirit that Paradies Lagardère has shown so admirably throughout this tumultous year, The Moodie Davitt Report brings you a daily reprise of the campaign, told not in our words but theirs.

DAY 12

It has been an incredible 60 years since Mr. Dan and Mr. Jimmy opened that very first toy store at the Atlanta Municipal Airport. Through the years we’ve expanded like crazy into more than 100 airports across the US and Canada! But we’re not done yet. In the words of Mr. Dan, “The Best is Yet to Come!” Join us in 2021, as we continue to drive innovation, strive for excellence, and work diligently to exceed the expectations of our partners and travelers. Cheers to another 60 years!

DAY 11

A very heartfelt thank you to our Associates. This year you have really stepped up to show our customers what we already knew – just how amazing you are. You’ve worked harder than ever before to make sure our airport stores and restaurants are safe and welcoming, and you never lost that passion for excellence! We are so fortunate to have you as part of our family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

DAY 10

Each year we support important charitable programs across the US and Canada through corporate donations or through generous customer donations in our stores. The proceeds go to amazing organizations such as Make-A-Wish America, the USO, and the National Center for Civil and Human Rights. And, as a nod to our original toy store we also donate to Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, which distributes more than 18 million toys to 7 million children each year. This year our customers really came through for so many kids! Thank you so much for your generosity!

DAY 9

This year has been an important one for the advancement of human and civil rights as we all work to develop a deeper understanding of one another. From our corporate offices to our airport stores and restaurants we are a family, and we place tremendous emphasis on nurturing relationships with our associates, business partners, and the communities we serve. As part of our dedication to diversity and inclusion, we partnered with Perrin to donate $1 from each Unity Tee sold in our stores to the National Center for Civil and Human Rights. The NCCHR believes in justice and dignity for all, and so do we.

DAY 8

On Day 8, we would be remiss if we didn’t thank the travelers who visit us on a daily basis. You are the reason for our business and our industry, and why we love coming to work every day. Thank you for your patronage, support, and kind words you’ve sent us over the last 60 Years. Your smiling faces (even behind those masks) keep us going! Cheers to you from all of us! THANK YOU, Travelers!

DAY 7

We love bringing a little slice of “local” directly to travelers! From regional artisans to hometown restaurants, we partner with small businesses that make each community we serve lively and unique. Together we help travelers experience the most fun and exciting tastes of the city right inside the airport! Even if you don’t have time to visit the city, pull up a chair for a bite or pick out a handmade gift and help us support these remarkable businesses!

DAY 6

To all of our ACDBE partners – THANK YOU for being part of our extended family. Together, we share in making our retail and food and beverage programs strong and successful. You help keep us connected to the community, and you share our vision for customer-service excellence. For all of that, we are so thankful!

DAY 5

Today’s THANK YOU goes to our Brand Partners! We launched our first national brand in airports in the early 1990s, and today we represent hundreds of national, local, and proprietary brands in our award-winning dining and retail operations! We’re so honored that you have put your trust in us, and we will continue to represent your brands with the same passion and dedication you do. We look forward to many more years of success and growth with you!

DAY 4

Happy Holidays from our family to yours! We have a 30-year tradition of a Paradies Lagardère Holiday Bear, a nod to our first airport toy store in 1960, but this year is different for so many reasons, so we had to think outside the box! For 2020, Teddy went virtual, traveling to cities across North America to bring you warm wishes! We’d love for you to show him around, and share your adventures with us on social media. DAY 3

We want to take a moment to send out huge THANK YOU to our airport partners. We started Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in 1960, then John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in 1962. From there it snowballed to 100 airports across North America. Together we’ve weathered difficult years and celebrated the prosperous ones. Through thick and thin, we’ve stuck together and created amazing programs with Sense of Place, delicious food, and the most in-demand brand line up. Thank you for putting your trust in us. Cheers to another 60 years!

DAY 2

DAY 1

We’re kicking off our 12 Days of Paradies Lagardère series this month with a bang!

This year is our 60th Anniversary! We’ve certainly accomplished a lot in that time – from a humble toy store at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to our newest stores and restaurants at San Antonio International Airport and Salt Lake City International Airport! We sincerely appreciate the amazing airport and brand partnerships we’ve developed across North America in our first 6 decades! We couldn’t have done it without your support. Cheers to the next 60 years!
