Coccinelle has expanded its network in global travel retail with new stores in Europe, Asia Pacific, Central America and the Caribbean.
During the past ten months, the bag and accessory specialist has also extended its presence on cruise ships.
Coccinelle Head of Global Travel Retail Emanuele Mazziotta said: “2018 was a very prosperous year for Coccinelle with 35 openings worldwide, including airports, seaports, downtown duty-free malls and cruise ships.
“The brand is well distributed around the globe with 170 points of sale in 34 countries.”
The new outlets feature Coccinelle’s refreshed store concept, with pink and gold as predominate colours.
Coccinelle’s European network has expanded with openings in Greece, at Heraklion and Rhodes airports, and in Italy at Cagliari and Florence airports. In the UK Coccinelle opened outlets at Gatwick Airport South and North terminals. In Estonia it secured a space at Lennart Meri Tallinn International Airport and, in December, Coccinelle opened a 40sq m boutique in the upgraded commercial zone at Prague Václav Havel Airport in the Czech Republic.
Coccinelle describes Russia as an “important and strategic region”. New outlets opened at Moscow Sheremetyevo and St. Petersburg Pulkovo airports, St. Petersburg Seaport and two locations at Novosibirsk Tolmachevo International Airport.
In Asia new openings include an outlet at Ever Rich Duty Free Neihu in Taiwan and two corners at Kuala Lumpur International Airport and KLIA2 in Malaysia. The brand also has stores at Busan in South Korea and in Cambodia at NagaCity Walk, Phnom Penh.
In 2018 Coccinelle opened its first outlet in Central America, at El Salvador Monseñor Óscar Arnulfo Romero International Airport. It also opened a store at Piarco International Airport in Trinidad and Tobago.
Coccinelle has extended its business in the cruise sector, partnering with Starboard Cruise Services in Asia, with China Duty Free Group on Costa Atlantica in Asia and with MSC Cruises, onboard MSC Seaview in the Mediterranean Sea.
