MACAU. Traditional Swiss baker Tante Agathe has won a new listing with King Power Macau for its collection of handmade biscuits in presentation packs. The first consignment was delivered this week.
Tante Agathe founder and ceo Thierry Uldry commented: “Buyers from the Asian market visiting Cannes, particularly those from China and India, were really impressed by our biscuits’ fresh-baked flavour and also by the attractive tins and gift-packs. Our unusual plastic cookie tubs, launched this year, caused a stir too – the customer can see exactly what he is buying.
“We already have lots of satisfied customers in Japan and Korea and we hope that our new contract with King Power Macau will enable us to develop business further in this exciting region.”
Already working with travel retailers in France, Switzerland and other parts of Europe, Tante Agathe was at this year’s TFWA World Exhibition to renew those relationships and to launch the range, including the new Pépites, into fresh markets. The company said it is expecting its first breakthrough soon in Latin America, probably in Argentina.
Uldry added: “Our original Coeur de l’Oranger, with that subtle citrus tang, is generally the favourite in our assortment but the new chocolate Pépites have tempted a lot of people.”
