Core Plus Duty Free enhances travel essentials offer with Go Travel

Go Travel takes off: Fast-moving products on display at Core Plus Duty Free

USA. Core Plus Duty Free has partnered with Go Travel, adding the brand to its travel essentials portfolio at Melbourne Orlando International Airport in Florida.

The company, which operates retail at the airport’s TUI International Terminal in Central Florida, has reported a notable sales increase in the category within the first 30 days of the partnership.

The strong initial sales have led to a reorder, which is uncommon for new listings, the company said.

Go Travel Vice President of Sales Denz van der List said, “This is especially exciting for me, as Melbourne International is my home regional airport.

“Our first sales have already shown strong results, and I’m thrilled to see how this new partnership will evolve. Core Plus is the most dynamic and engaging retail space at the airport, and being part of that environment is a fantastic opportunity for Go Travel.”

The retailer described this collaboration as a strong reflection of the value of industry connections.

The partnership took shape following a 2024 meeting at the International Association of Airport and Duty Free Stores (IAADFS) conference, where Core Plus Duty Free CEO Brittany Williams Leverett and Denz van der List first connected.

Core Plus Duty Free was not initially seeking new vendors, but the connection proved strong enough to move forward when the opportunity aligned.

Williams Leverett said, “It’s unusual for us to place a reorder in the first month unless it’s for a top-tier category like tobacco. It’s awesome we’re ready to do that. I am impressed that GoTravel’s global brand has been so small business-friendly.”

The product range has strengthened Core Plus’s offering, with both companies anticipating sustained momentum.
