As revealed by The Moodie Report 20 August, MAC (part of the Estée Lauder Cos) is poised to get the Minnelli treatment, as it prepares to launch Liza for MAC, a collection of products designed to help consumers recreate the star’s legendary look. It will be available in all MAC travel retail counters worldwide from October.
The collection features two looks: one for daytime and one for evening. Both feature new shades – some limited editions – of regular MAC products such as Lipglass and the Eyeshadow X 4 quartet. Sporting names such as Showstopper and Girlishous, they have been named after Minnelli. Naturally, false eyelashes are a key item.
The 57 year-old is only the second person MAC has created new make-up items for, although kd lang, RuPaul and Shirley Manson among others have all famously advertised its products.
The collection will be available until the end of the year.
