Calvin Klein Defy: The new masculine pillar

Calvin Klein has unveiled a new masculine fragrance called Calvin Klein Defy. The scent, which was created by IFF Master Perfumer Anne Flipo and Senior Perfumer Loc Dong, contrasts freshness with powerful wood notes.

It opens with citrus top notes of bergamot and Lavender Absolute, followed by heart notes of responsibly-sourced Haitian vetiver oil. It closes with amber base notes.

The masculine eau de toilette comes in a minimalist glass bottle with rounded edges. The matte, denim-inspired bottle cap and carton reference the brand’s popular denim line.

The Calvin Klein Defy campaign stars Scottish actor Richard Madden, who is best-known for his roles in television programmes ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘The Bodyguard’. He most recently starred in the film ‘The Eternals’.

Calvin Klein Defy launched in Asia Pacific travel retail in November 2021. It was rolled out in Americas and European travel retail this month.

Chloé Nomade Eau de Parfum

Making bonds: British actress Naomi Scott stars in the Chloé Nomade Eau de Parfum Naturelle campaign

Coty has revealed Nomade Eau de Parfum Naturelle, the new 100% natural-origin fragrance from Chloé. It was launched in European travel retail this month, with an Asia Pacific travel retail roll-out planned for March.

The new feminine fragrance underscores Chloé’s sustainable commitments. In addition to its natural and vegan formulations, the fragrance comes in lower impact packaging.

Crafted by Perfumer Caroline Dumur, Chloé Nomade Eau de Parfum is a gourmand jasmine scent that blends Egyptian jasmine with date, vanilla and sandalwood notes.

The scent’s key ingredient, Egyptian Jasmine, is sustainably-harvested in Egypt, which is also the home country of Chloé Founder Gaby Aghion.

The ochre flaçon is decorated with a braid tied around the neck of the bottle. The same braid motif is engraved in the glass and on the carton. According to the brand, it represents the ‘bonds established through travel’.

The 100% natural-origin fragrance is made with a vegan formula centred around sustainably-sourced Egyptian Jasmine

The bottle was made with 15% recycled materials, while the carton was constructed with 40% recycled materials and FSC-certified cardboard.

The fragrance campaign stars British actress, singer and director Naomi Scott, who is best known for her roles in ‘Aladdin’ and ‘Charlie’s Angels’.

Scott is an avid supporter of women’s rights and is an Ambassador for the non-profit organisation Compassion, which helps underprivileged children around the world.

It was photographed by American photographer Zoë Ghertner and features Scott, who appears with several other women, amidst vast sand dunes. A braided bracelet is seen on Scott’s wrist, which echoes the one on the bottle.
