Dior tops brand rankings in inflight listings survey – 24/10/08

FRANCE. Christian Dior was the best-distributed fragrances and cosmetics brand inflight for the summer and autumn period in 2008 (June to October), according to the latest annual inflight survey from respected French research house DRP.

The Moodie Report has an informal agreement with DRP to both preview and publish selected findings from the group’s various studies. The survey is based on the inflight shopping catalogues for the summer/autumn period (excluding pre-order) drawn from 99 airlines surveyed.

Ranking is based strictly on the number of listings across the surveyed carriers. Dior topped the rankings with 434 listings ahead of Lancôme (290), Chanel (285), Calvin Klein (236) and Hugo Boss (232). Hugo Boss jumped from seventh in the same period last year to fifth in 2008. Armani also leapt up the rankings, from ninth in 2007 to sixth in 2008.
