UAE. Dubai Duty Free will open an outlet at the Jet Aviation terminal at Dubai International Airport, serving crew and passengers using the private and charter jet facility.
Terminal operator Jet Aviation Dubai said the shop, due to open this year, was planned to accommodate strong demand from terminal users. The shop of around 26sq m will offer liquor, tobacco, beauty products. electronics and some confectionery. It will also feature a range of premium wines and humidor cigars.
At present Jet Terminal users – comprising VIPs, charter jet passengers and private jet owners – must drive to the main terminal to use the duty free shops there.
Jet Aviation Dubai FBO Director Philippe Gerard said: “Shopping is high on the agenda for most travelers, and our customers and crew enjoy shopping for luxury goods. In opening an airside duty free shop, we significantly improve the quality of time spent by these customers at our facility.”
