Edrington Global Travel Retail to present rare and prestige ranges at World of Wines & Spirits

Edrington Global Travel Retail returns to World of Wines & Spirits for a fourth consecutive year with a prestige showcase from The Macallan and Highland Park, reaffirming its partnership with Changi Airport Group and Lotte Duty Free

SINGAPORE. Edrington Global Travel Retail will present a line-up of rare and ultra-premium whiskies from The Macallan and Highland Park at the forthcoming World of Wines & Spirits (WOWS) showcase (24-25 October), hosted by Changi Airport Group in partnership with Lotte Duty Free.

Returning for the fourth consecutive year, Edrington’s participation highlights its long-standing collaboration with both Lotte Duty Free and Changi Airport Group, and reaffirms a shared commitment to elevating the luxury spirits experience in global travel retail.

This year’s WOWS will spotlight the art of rarity through an immersive gala designed for collectors and connoisseurs.

At the heart of Edrington’s showcase are nine rare expressions from The Macallan, including limited releases from its Fine & Rare and The Red Collection series.

The Red Collection, drawn from some of the oldest and rarest casks in the world, is inspired by the colour red’s symbolic importance throughout The Macallan’s history. It serves as a tribute to generations of craftsmanship, artistry and innovation.

At this year’s WOWS event, The Macallan will reveal a bespoke handcrafted case by Scottish artisans Method Design Studio, housing three expressions from The Red Collection: the 71, 74 and 78 Year Old. It is available exclusively at World of Wines & Spirits.

In April, The Macallan revealed the latest instalment in The Archival Series: Folio 8. It pays tribute to The Macallan’s advertising campaigns from the 1980s and 1990s, drawing on original stories, illustrations and photography. Click here for our full story.

The Macallan Fine & Rare Collection is claimed to be the largest vintage-dated single malt collection worldwide. As a centrepiece of the 2025 presentation, Edrington will unveil The Macallan Fine & Rare 1965, accompanied by an intricate Tantalus Presentation Case designed by London-based interior designer Kamini Ezralow.

Limited to 447 bottles globally, the case features four Lalique crystal tumblers and four solid ebony coasters. It pays tribute to Singapore’s 60th independence anniversary, establishing a meaningful sense of place for local collectors.

The Highland Park showcase will feature two limited-batch expressions crafted from hand-selected casks: the 21 Year Old (2024 release) and 25 Year Old (2022 release).

The 21 Year Old, drawn from 48 casks laid down in 2001 and 2002, delivers a flavour profile of cloudy honey, crème brulée and smoked lemons.

The 25 Year Old, drawn from just 22 casks, offers a rich balance of fruit, spice and fragrance, enhanced by a naturally deep copper tone.

To complement its participation at WOWS, Edrington Global Travel Retail will host an exclusive masterclass for Lotte Travel Retail Singapore and Changi Airport Group VVIPs on 22 October at The Macallan House, Raffles Hotel. Led by The Macallan’s whisky experts, the intimate session will explore a curated range of rare expressions and delve into the brand’s whisky heritage.

Edrington Regional Managing Director Global Travel Retail Kasper Andersen said, “Our long-standing partnership and collaboration with the World of Wines & Spirits event underscores our continued dedication to elevating luxury experiences in travel retail.

“Today’s luxury travel retail spirits consumers are curious and selective; they want to know the story behind what they’re buying, where it comes from, how it’s made, and why it’s special.

“The Macallan and Highland Park expressions featured this year beautifully convey our commitment to storytelling and craftsmanship whilst speaking directly to the needs of consumers at this prestigious event.”
