Capi’s new-look store at Berlin Tegel opens in July |
Travel retail electronics distributor Capi is to open a new shop at Berlin Tegel Airport in July 2013.
The 55sq m outlet, situated in what is described as a “prime location landside”, is a temporary shop to replace the concession Capi had been awarded at the Berlin Brandenburg Airport until that airport begins operation.
Royal Capi-Lux Managing Director Peter Wiggers said: “Due to the excellent relationships we have established with the management of the Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH, we were able to find a prime location for our shop in Tegel which will replace the concession we have been awarded for the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport until its opening.
“We are very pleased that the management operating the airports in Berlin recognises the need to provide its customers with an inspiring shopping area and that they are willing to invest in this airport. We are looking forward to making a positive difference to Berlin’s airports by offering travellers passing through Berlin-Tegel a trendsetting and inspiring shopping experience.”
Berlin Airports Non-Aviation Management Vice President Dr. Norbert Minhorst commented: “We are very pleased that we have found in Capi an exciting new tenant for the landside at Tegel airport, thereby expanding the product assortment we can offer our passengers at the Boulevard Tegel. With Capi we have found a long- term partner who will also be found at the new Berlin Brandenburg airport,” he said.
