Fazer drives travel retail growth with upcoming product launches

Fazer delivers strong shelf impact in travel retail gifting

FINLAND. Finnish confectionery and food company Fazer has rolled out its travel retail range for 2026-27, combining signature classics and latest innovations.

The range is currently being showcased at the ongoing TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes.

The line-up is designed to capture consumer demand for indulgence, gifting and joyful snacking.

The initiative supports the company’s growth strategy, with travel retail playing a key role in building global awareness for its premium products.

Fazer is also preparing to open a chocolate factory in Lahti, Finland in 2028. Designed with modern production and packaging capabilities, the facility will support the company’s expansion into diverse international markets.

Fazer Director, Travel Retail Kari Kuikka said, “I very much look forward to the capabilities that the new chocolate factory will bring and the opportunities that arise to cater to consumer needs in various geographical markets.

“We will be able to produce new, exciting products with new kinds of structures, layers and formats, and I am most certain that these will bring joy to our international consumers too.”

Valued at €400 million, the project represents the largest investment in Fazer’s history and a key development for the Finnish food industry, reinforcing exports where the company contributes 15%.

Built to be carbon neutral and fully electrified, the factory is set to be among the most advanced chocolate production sites globally. It will increase efficiency and sustainability, with Fazer maintaining its focus on the taste and quality of flagship brands, including Geisha and Dumle.

Geisha’s new formats

The Geisha brand remains a core part of Fazer’s portfolio, offering premium chocolate creations designed for everyday enjoyment.

Kuikka said: “Geisha is Fazer’s most international brand. We are proud to tell that Geisha has been chosen as a finalist in two different categories, in Best Confectionery and Food Product and Best Airport Retail Initiative Instore category in Travel Retail Awards.”

The two new additions in the Geisha line include:
