Guerlain creates new ad campaign for Shalimar- 12/01/05

FRANCE. Guerlain has revamped its Shalimar women’s fragrance with a new advertising campaign and an extended bath range.

The new items will be available from 1 February.

The new ad visual (above) features the bare, provocative silhouette of a woman, applying her fragrance. The mood is sensuous and seductive, in line with Shalimar’s positioning.

The company has repackaged the fragrance bath line (below), in curved bottles of midnight blue, highlighted with traces of gold.

The existing range has been expanded with two new products: Voluptuous Foaming Bath (€32.50 for 200ml) and Indulgent Moisturising Body Mist (€39.50 for 100ml).

The former features moisturising agents and a vegetable oil derivative to combat the effects of hard water, and to keep the skin hydrated.

The latter – an alcohol-free composition – is described as suitable for frequent use and is also said to leave the body soft and moisturised.

These new items join the Shalimar Satin Shower Gel (€32.50 for 200ml) and the Sensational Body Lotion (€39.50 fro 200ml).
