First IWSC award: Reynac Blanc and Rosé Pineau des Charentes win a silver medal |
FRANCE. Cognac producer H Mounier has been awarded accolades for its Prince Hubert de Polignac and Reynac brands at this year’s International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC).
Cognac Prince Hubert de Polignac has received a gold medal “Best in Class” for the Extra Grande Champagne, described as a Cognac with “mellowness and harmony”.
Already awarded several times by the IWSC judges, the Réserve Polignac Grande-Champagne is again this year named among the best Cognacs in the competition, winning a silver medal.
Dynastie Grande Champagne, one of the most prestigious Cognacs in the Prince Hubert de Polignac range and characterised by the “Charentes rancio”, also took a silver medal.
XO ROYAL, which is characterised by its balance of Grande and Petite Champagne, gained a bronze medal.
Reynac Pineau des Charentes
Judges at the International Wine & Spirit Competition have awarded Reynac Blanc and Rosé with a silver medal. This is the first IWSC award for H Mounier’s Reynac pineau des Charentes.
French wine guide rewards Polignac VSOP and XO
To celebrate its 25th birthday, the French wine guide Guide Hachette des Vins 2010 has started a Cognac category and rewarded the Polignac XO and VSOP. The latter gains three stars and is described as “an exceptional product”.
