Hendrick’s Gin introduces travel-retail exclusive Sunspell at TFWA World Exhibition

Hendrick’s Gin, owned by William Grant & Sons, has revealed its limited-edition Sunspell gin at the ongoing TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes.

The latest addition to the brand’s Cabinet of Curiosities line is set to be rolled out exclusively in global travel retail next month.

The expression is inspired by a Scottish sunset that captivated Hendrick Master Distiller Lesley Gracie.

This rare release comes in specially designed packaging that highlights the vibrant colours that come alive at sunset. Drawing inspiration from this colourful canvas, the gin offers bursts of warm citrus and harmonious spices, layered atop Hendrick’s signature recipe, complemented with fragrant rose and crisp cucumber.

The Sunspell bottle and its brand aesthetic feature a blend of pink, purple and orange hues.

The brand visuals also feature the sunset over a vibrant blue sea, combined with images of hot air balloons and airplanes.

Gracie said: “Living on the wild west coast of Scotland, we get some fabulous sunsets. And the sun setting behind the mystical island of Ailsa Craig on the South Ayrshire coast is really spectacular. I love watching this ultra-ordinary yet absolutely extraordinary scene unfold whenever I can – it starts really nice and bright and orange and slowly mellows and blends into the horizon.

“It’s so relaxing to watch, and I especially love the sunsets where there’s a little cloud in the sky and it creates these wonderful stripes of warm light in the sky.

“When walking the coast here you’ll see people stop and take a moment to really breathe it in. The colours you get and the calm warm feeling are magic. You can’t help but feel grounded when basking in the natural beauty of the setting sun.”
