CAMBODIA. Today’s selection comes from Cambodia where International Airport Advertising Corporation (IAAC) CEO Jonathan Goldsmid shared a glimpse on LinkedIn of what is taking shape at the new Techo International Airport in Phnom Penh.
Scheduled to open in September, the airport is expected to become Cambodia’s primary aviation gateway, enhancing the country’s global connectivity. As reported, IAAC secured a ten-year contract to manage interior and outdoor media spaces at the airport.
The greenfield airport is being developed by Cambodia Airport Investment Co. (CAIC), a joint venture between the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation and Overseas Cambodian Investment Corporation. Built on a 2,600-hectare site with an investment of US$1.5 billion, Techo International Airport will have an initial passenger capacity of up to 13 million a year.
Lagardère Travel Retail, in partnership with HSC Group, has signed a 12-year contract with CAIC to manage retail and dining operations at the airport.

In his post on LinkedIn Goldsmid said: “Thrilled to see the vision coming to life at the breathtaking Techo International Airport, Cambodia’s newest global gateway. With its truly stunning architecture and state-of-the-art facilities, this landmark project is set to deliver a world-class travel experience that will put Cambodian aviation firmly on the global map.
