Images of the Day: How a travellator transformation delivered mobile banking at Bengaluru Airport

Our regular feature, brought to you in association with Duty Free Global from Ireland, celebrates memorable scenes, moments, launches and campaigns related to the global aviation and travel retail sphere.

INDIA. Today’s selection, courtesy of JCDecaux India Managing Director Frederic Brun, underlines two key industry dynamics – the impact of creative airport advertising and the enormous power of multi-stakeholder collaboration.

They portray how JCDecaux India, together with Kinetic and HSBC Premier, have delivered a standout (in every sense) and exclusive activation at Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru Terminal 2 – the only one of its kind at any Indian airport.

A different kind of bank statement as a travellator is transformed at one of the world’s great air terminals

Installed in early November, the concept transforms a simple travellator into an aircraft-style walkway, complete with illuminated window frames and dynamic LED storytelling.

The effect, Brun tells The Moodie Davitt Report, is immediate. As passengers glide past, they feel as though they’re stepping into the HSBC Premier world.

Bold, immersive and seamlessly integrated into the terminal environment, this exclusive installation at one of the world’s greatest gateways, shows how creative OOH can redefine the passenger experience within an airport setting, he adds.

Mobile banking with a difference

“This activation shows how JCDecaux can turn a simple moment into a memorable experience. I am proud of what we built together with HSBC Premier and Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru,” Brun concludes.
