Images of the Day: Quintessential Brands and Avolta launch Gin Emporium at Heathrow Airport

Our regular feature, brought to you in association with Strange Nature Gin from New Zealand, celebrates memorable scenes, moments, launches and campaigns related to the global aviation and travel retail sphere.

UK. Our image selection today comes from London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5, where spirits specialist Quintessential Brands has launched its first travel retail Gin Emporium, a partnership with travel experience company Avolta.

The Gin Emporium’s debut location at Heathrow Airport. The activation will also be rolled out with other Quintessential Brands travel retail partners, including Gebr. Heinemann.

According to Quintessential Brands, the activation helps passengers “on a flavour journey to discover their perfect tipple” and offers strong incentives for every purchase.

Visitors have the option to use an interactive flavour questionnaire delivered via an in-store tablet to discover how, when and where they prefer to drink their gin. The questionnaire also takes into account passenger taste preferences and then suggests their perfect serve, which is displayed across the digital screens in-store.

Four gins from the Quintessential Brands portfolio are highlighted in the promotion space: Greenall’s The Original London Dry Gin Distillers Cut; Greenall’s Wildberry Distillers Cut; Opihr Original Oriental Spiced Gin; and Bloom Original London Dry.

Each passenger who purchases a bottle can choose from one of four gifts with purchase: an Opihr water canteen; a Bloom mobile phone fan; a Greenall’s fruit squeezer; or branded Copa glasses.

Every shopper is entered into a prize draw to win a year’s supply of gin, courtesy of Quintessential Brands.

The Gin Emporium will now be rolled out to other Quintessential Brands travel retail partners, with Gebr. Heinemann next in line for a similar promotion. ✈
