Something Strange from down under makes a dazzling debut with Lotte Duty Free at Changi Airport

SINGAPORE. Today’s selection comes from Changi Airport, where fast-growing Strange Nature Gin from New Zealand last week made its debut with Lotte Duty Free across multiple terminals.

Pictured is the Strange Nature high-profile promotion in Terminal 4.

Strange Nature, sponsor of our popular Strange Predictions readers’ competition, has been growing exponentially in the Australian and New Zealand travel retail markets since its early 2023 launch.

In September this year it announced a distribution partnership for selected Asia and Middle East duty-free markets with Singapore brand distribution firm CoLab.

The partnership embraces Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan and Qatar.

Strange Nature is likely to appeal to Changi’s diverse passenger profile, notably Indian travellers, with the brand having proven particularly popular with that nationality in Australian duty free with Heinemann Oceania.

Note: Indian and Australian travel retail cricket fans get ready. Our next Strange Predictions contest later this week might have a particularly crucial third test match as its focus. ✈
