IRELAND. ARI Global Corporate Finance Lead John Wallace is the latest winner in our Strange Predictions* contest hosted by Strange Nature Gin of New Zealand.
We asked readers to predict the scoreline of last week’s compelling rugby international matches between France and the All Blacks and South Africa vs England.
As with all our Strange Predictions competitions, the winner receives a bottle of the outstanding Strange Nature Gin, whose spirit base is drawn from Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Strange indeed.
John, no doubt perturbed by Ireland’s loss to the All Blacks the week before. got some form of redemption, correctly choosing Les Bleus to beat the Kiwi side. His scoreline of 30-24 was a mere five points off the eventual 30-29 scoreline.
John chose South Africa to beat England 26-18. The actual score was 29-20 to the Springboks, so another five-point differential for John.
He took out the spoils just two points ahead of Forward Keys Retail & Travel Retail Customer Success Manager Jérôme Goldberg who opted for 31-17 to the Boks and 24-23 for a total 12-point differential. Close but no cigar Jérôme.
