BRAZIL. Today’s images comes from Rio de Janeiro Airport where passengers got a Halloween (31 October) surprise to remember, courtesy of Avolta.
In a spine-tingling twist, shoppers found themselves surrounded by ‘mysterious creatures’ rising from the aisles.
These costumed performers – decked out as ghouls, zombies and other eerie creatures – slowly prowled the space. Then, Michael Jackson’s Thriller filled the air and they broke into a choreographed flash mob.
Rio de Janeiro Airport and Avolta actively engaged with travellers on social media, sharing reels that featured the flash mob alongside swipe posts showcasing Halloween costumes.
Additionally, user-generated content amplified the immersive experience’s reach.

Avolta noted on Instagram: “Passengers boarding and disembarking at Rio de Janeiro Airport were surprised by an incredible Halloween flash mob.
