IRELAND. Irish whiskey bonder, J.J. Corry has unveiled a duo of limited Bonder’s Editions exclusively for The Irish Whiskey Collection at The Loop, operated by ARI.
The new channel-exclusive releases are available at Dublin and Cork airports, and online at www.theloop.ie.
The first is a 13-year-old Single Cask Single Grain Irish Whiskey, selected for The Irish Whiskey Collection by J.J. Corry founder Louise McGuane. It won the Silver award at the World Whiskies Awards 2024.
The single-cask expression is matured in a combination of first and second-fill bourbon casks, resulting in its fresh pear, toffee and vanilla flavours.
The limited-edition whiskey is non-chill filtered and is bottled at 52.5% ABV, with only 246 bottles available at Dublin and Cork airports. It comes in 70cl bottles and is priced at €150 (US$161) duty free and €176 (US$189) duty paid.
The second Bonder’s Edition is a Single Grain Irish Whiskey which has been crafted from a vatting of eight casks aged between six and 13 years. The expression is bottled at 46% ABV with zero chill filtration, offering a combination of tropical fruit, crème brûlée, and chocolate notes. Only 2,400 bottles are available for this exclusive release.
Awarded Best Irish Grain Whiskey at the World Whiskies Awards 2024, the Single Grain Bonder’s Edition represents J.J. Corry’s status as “Ireland’s first modern Whiskey Bonder,” the company claimed. The accolade also emphasises its mission to develop a library of Irish whiskey flavours allowing them to blend unique expressions.
The Single Grain Bonder’s Edition is priced at €98 (US$105) duty free; €112 (US$120) duty paid.
