Jewel Changi Airport and Mastercard renew partnership to boost visitor spend

SINGAPORE. Jewel Changi Airport (Jewel) has extended its partnership with Mastercard to provide cardholders with continued access to exclusive offers across its retail, dining and leisure experiences.

The renewal builds on three years of joint initiatives that have driven local and tourist spending, while enhancing the overall visitor experience through exclusive Mastercard privileges.

Jewel’s Canopy Bridge remains a key visitor attraction, supporting consistent footfall across its retail and dining zones

Mastercard spend at Jewel has delivered strong year-on-year growth since their collaboration began in October 2022. Over a three-year period, card transactions increased at a +20% compound annual growth rate, fuelled by 30 targeted marketing campaigns from Jewel to promote the use of Mastercard.

With continued growth momentum, Jewel will tap Mastercard’s global network of issuing banks and travel partners to engage overseas travellers, supported by data-driven insights to enhance marketing and tailor campaigns across different visitor segments.

The renewed agreement will also strengthen Mastercard’s cross-border spending initiatives, offering tourists exclusive rewards and promotions for purchases made at Jewel.

Jewel’s 35% international visitor traffic allows Mastercard to target tourist spending, offering cardholders value for shopping and dining.

As part of the three-year partnership, both companies will continue introducing campaigns that align with Jewel’s retail, dining and leisure offerings to encourage return visits and strengthen visitor engagement.
