INDIA. Kreol Travel Retail has partnered with Cochin Duty Free and Loch Lomond Group in the global travel retail launch of Ben Lomond Gin.
Ben Lomond Gin, with an ‘Adventurous spirit. Bottled’ tagline, takes inspiration from Scotland’s Loch Lomond and the Trossachs region.
The expression, which is distilled in traditional copper pot stills, features eleven key botanicals, including locally blackcurrants and rowan berries and oranges.
The partners underlined the history of gin consumption in India. “While gin is originally from Holland – not England, as widely believed – the ubiquitous ‘gin and tonic’ was actually formulated in India,” they pointed out.
Loch Lomond Group Travel Retail Director Catherine Bonelli said: “We are happy to commence our travel retail debut of Ben Lomond Gin with our presence in India. We thank Cochin Duty Free for their initiative.”
Kreol Travel Retail CEO Lal Arakulath commented: “We are honoured to debut Ben Lomond Gin, which received the Highly Commended status at the Scottish Gin Awards 2020, the largest gin competition in the UK.”
As reported, Kreol Travel Retail announced a distribution partnership with Loch Lomond Group covering selected travel retail markets in the Indian subcontinent last month.
