The Living Cyprus campaign runs through April at Larnaka International |
CYPRUS. CTC-ARI, Cyprus Airports Food & Beverage and Hermes Airports are collaborating in a drive to showcase the island’s rich culture at Larnaka International Airport. The “˜Living Cyprus’ campaign is a true “Trinity partnership” said the companies. It runs through April.
Scenes from the Cypriot countryside are recreated in the airport’s departures area. A traditional taverna offers flavours and dishes from Cyprus, while Cypriot music and dance ensembles and arts and crafts are also on show.
Hermes Airports Chief Executive Officer Wes Porter said: “Hermes Airports supports every effort that aims to develop the tourist product of Cyprus and by extension the economy of the country.” He said the airport and partners were prepared to play their part in the recovery of the economy of Cyprus.
Marios Loucaides, Chairman of CTC-ARI and Managing Director of CTC, added: “What all three companies are trying to do is to remind mainly our foreign visitors of the beautiful moments they experienced in Cyprus during their stay and to encourage them to keep these lovely memories in their hearts until the next time they visit our island.”

CTC-ARI General Manager Garrett Coogan said: “Cyprus is a beautiful island with a unique culture, cherished traditions and fantastic food and wine. It is super that my team and I can play our part in this special event promoting Cyprus. It not only succeeds in providing retail-tainment for our customers, encouraging them to shop more, but is also a great event for the airport community to be involved in.”
Beyond the drive to promote Cypriot traditions, the event also aims to strengthen the promotion of Cyprus as a year-round destination for visitors.
