SOUTH AMERICA. Leading regional travel retailer London Supply Group recently hosted the 20th edition of its Foundation’s annual golf tournament in Punta del Este, raising US$705,212 to support health and education projects across Argentina and Uruguay.
Known as the London Supply Cup (‘Copa London Supply’), the tournament has established itself as a highlight of the summer season in the Uruguayan resort city. For the milestone 20th edition, more than 240 players gathered at Club del Lago Golf.

As London Supply said in a statement, they came “to enjoy a competitive day with a higher purpose: transforming lives through the London Supply Group Foundation”.
The proceeds will finance various regional projects developed by the Foundation, including a traditional donation of 10% to the Pérez Scremini Foundation, a leading institution in the fight against childhood cancer in Uruguay.

The evening cocktail event, hosted by Argentine journalist Guillermo Andino, provided a platform for solidarity around the Foundation’s activities.
Directors from the ‘Barrio 1° de Mayo’ Educational Park in Puerto Iguazú, Misiones shared moving testimonies about the impact of the Foundation’s support. Beyond constructing and donating the entire educational complex, the Foundation continues to provide daily meals and other comprehensive support services to more than 1,500 students.

A performance by the Doña Mercedes Symphony Orchestra, comprised of students from the ‘Barrio 1° de Mayo’ Educational Park, represented “the emotional peak of the night”, said London Supply. The young musicians travelled from Misiones to demonstrate “how art and music have become their primary engine for personal growth and empowerment”.
Marking the 20th anniversary, the Foundation team, led by Director María Taratuty, paid tribute to the visionary behind the event: London Supply President Teddy Taratuty. The golf tournament, which began in 2005 as a friendly gathering of golf enthusiasts has evolved into a major social responsibility landmark, expanding its charitable footprint across the region.
Drawing an analogy to the pecan tree—which, like the tournament, seeks to build a lasting legacy capable of nourishing future generations—María Taratuty reflected: “Today, as we celebrate the 20th edition of our Cup, I look back and realise that this tournament was our way of planting pecan groves. Two decades ago, we planted a vision, and for 20 years we have nurtured it with your support and commitment. We have sown a future where it was needed most.”
The London Supply Group Foundation was established in 2008 as part of London Supply’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
