María Taratuty accepts the prestigious leadership award at the Women Economic Forum in Argentina

ARGENTINA. London Supply Group Director of Sustainability and Strategic Communication María Taratuty has been honoured with the ‘Iconic Woman Leader 2025’ award at the Women Economic Forum (WEF) Argentina.

The award, which was made at the event on 20 October, recognised Taratuty for her leadership in business, social impact, commitment to sustainable development and strategic vision in leading teams and projects.

The Women Economic Forum is a major global platform dedicated to empowering women’s connections, commerce and leadership across all sectors. Its main objective is to promote economic and social equity and integrity worldwide.

The Argentina event was organised by the Global Association for Equity and Integrity (AGEI) at the Hilton Hotel in Buenos Aires, gathering female entrepreneurs and leaders to foster networking and collaboration.

Travel retail was strongly represented at the Forum by prominent female figures such as Aeropuertos Argentina Human Resources Business Partner Laura Migliavacca, who took part in a panel titled ‘Companies with Purpose’, and L’Oréal Groupe Argentina Head of Digital Marketing Andrea Diaz, who spoke about AI in the cosmetics industry.

María Taratuty, a third-generation leader at London Supply Group, also participated as a speaker on a panel titled ‘Stories of Women, Women with History’, sharing her career journey and her experiences in this dynamic and growing sector.

Taratuty said: “This space is an opportunity to highlight how female leadership can transform organisations through a more empathetic and inclusive approach. In my role, I seek to integrate sustainability as the central axis at London Supply Group and demonstrate that it is possible to lead with impact and purpose across all sectors, especially in the travel and retail industry that connects thousands of people.”

With over a decade of executive experience at the group, Taratuty has championed social impact initiatives through the company and at Fundación Grupo London Supply, where she serves as Director. The entity channels all corporate social responsibility actions carried out by the company where it operates, most notably the construction of the Barrio 1° de Mayo Educational Park in Puerto Iguazú.

During the Awards Gala, the WEF and AGEI recognised Taratuty’s commitment to sustainability as a strategic pillar of the business, saluted her crucial role in consolidating projects within the group and hailed her ability to lead with an inclusive and innovative perspective.
