Masao Orui hands over duty free responsibility in JATCo reshuffle

Industry veteran Masao Orui (pictured) has been succeeded in his role as JATCo Director Duty Free Business Division by Osamu Tomizawa

JAPAN. Japan Airport Terminal Co (JATCo) has appointed Osamu Tomizawa as its new Director Duty Free Business Division.

The move follows a restructure of JATCo’s Operation Department in which former duty free head Masao Orui has been assigned new responsibilities, starting with a secondment to JATCo inflight catering subsidiary Cosmo Enterprise.

Both moves are effective from 1 January 2014.

Prior to his role at JATCo, Orui’s career in the duty free industry included posts as Vice President of the JAL-DFS joint venture at Narita and Haneda airports, and management roles at Allders International (the predecessor of The Nuance Group).

In a message to industry colleagues, Orui said: “I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation for your support and partnership over the last few years.”
