Silhouette Design Architecture has appointed Michele L. Larimer as Partner of the firm.
In her new role, Larimer will drive the company’s strategic execution, while mentoring emerging leaders and reinforcing its nationwide client relationships.
She is recognised for her contributions in strengthening and diversifying the firm’s national project portfolio.
Since joining in 2019, Larimer has become instrumental in shaping Silhouette Design Architecture’s culture and design approach, leading key projects across hospitality, retail, dining and other high-visibility environments.
As the Director of Projects, Larimer has guided interdisciplinary teams and aligned efforts across clients, consultants and contractors to deliver designs that are both operationally effective and deeply contextual.
The company describes her work as a consistent reflection of its commitment to storytelling through design – rooted in place, purpose and possibility.
Silhouette Design Principal and Founding Partner Tara Carmichael said, “Michele leads with integrity, embodies Silhouette’s principals and values, and thoughtfully guides both our team and our clients.
“Michele’s promotion to Partner reflects not only her instrumental role in our recent growth, but also the strategic insight and vision she brings to Silhouette’s future.”
Larimer brings a holistic perspective to Silhouette, shaped by her Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning and Urban Design from the University of Colorado Denver and her experience across nonprofit, development and public art.
With over 15 years of experience in project management, design oversight and stakeholder engagement, she has led large-scale projects across high-profile environments. These include her tenure with Levy Restaurants, where she managed large-scale, fast-paced renovation and new construction at major sports and cultural venues, such as Levi’s Stadium, the Field Museum and ISM Raceway.
Larimer’s extensive expertise also draws from her earlier roles with the Theaster Gates’ ArtHouse initiative in Gary, Indiana, and as co-owner of Hulse Design + Build, showcasing her ability to integrate design thinking with community impact, fabrication expertise and entrepreneurial leadership. ✈
