The limited edition Mouton Cadet Ryder Cup Selection, created in collaboration with Paul McGinley and displaying the prestigious competition’s logo, will be revealed at Vine & Leaf from 1 July.
In line with the launch, customers will get a chance to play a mini golf game to win a cap with purchase of Mouton Cadet Ryder Cup Selection. If they top up their purchase to S$50 (US$40) worth of Mouton Cadet wines, they can receive a complimentary set of three golf balls.

About Mouton Cadet Ryder Cup Selection
Mouton Cadet Sélection Ryder Cup Rouge (13.5%abv) is made from rigorously selected wines and grapes sourced from partner winegrowers in the main appellations of Bordeaux and the Côtes (Blaye, Bourg, Castillon, etc.). The limestone soils of Entre-Deux-Mers and the Premières Côtes de Bordeaux produce wines of refinement, while the clay soils around Blaye give fuller-bodied wines. The gravelly soils of Côtes de Bourg and the south of Entre-Deux-Mers bring “elegance and freshness” to the Cabernet grapes, the winemaker said.
Made from a blend of Merlot (90%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%), the grapes from each parcel are vinified separately in order to preserve the diversity and personality of each terroir and variety and hence the richest range of tastes for the final blend. The grapes are macerated at low temperature before fermentation in order to obtain a more fruit-driven wine. A short period spent maturing in vats (10 to 12 months) helps to bring out the bright fruit flavours of Mouton Cadet Sélection Ryder Cup Rouge.
Tasting notes
Aspect: An intense carmine red with a slightly purple tint.
Nose: The nose opens on aromas of roasted coffee and toast, rapidly going on to develop notes of ripe, full-bodied fruit, especially bilberry and blackberry.
Palate: From “a full and elegant attack”, the roundness of ripe fruit gently gives way to spice flavours and mature, powerful tannins, leading into a lingering finish on notes of caramel and toast.
Suggested pairings of the wine include rib-eye steak, rabbit fricassée, rack of lamb and duck breast, at a serving temperature of 18-19°C.
