Munich Airport: March passenger numbers slip by -7.5% |
GERMANY. Munich Airport handled 2.58 million passengers in March, down by -7.5% year-on-year. In the three months of the year to date, the airport handled 6.96 million passengers, a fall of -9.6%.
International passenger traffic fell by -10.8% to 1.76 million in March, while domestic traffic rose marginally to 810,026.
Aircraft movements were down by -2.3% in the month, to 34,580, while the Q1 figure was 93,558, a fall of -8% year-on-year.
Arriving passenger numbers dipped by -7.7% while departing passenger numbers fell by -7.4%. Transit passenger numbers fell -16.9%.
Munich Airport handled 35.4 million passengers in 2008, up by +2% on 2007.
