New Horizons: Albert Bichot boosts wine line-up for Cannes

French winemaker Albert Bichot has added Horizon de Bichot Pinor Noir and Horizon de Bichot Chardonnay wines to its portfolio for the upcoming TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes (Yellow Village H57).

The wines come from Limoux, an area in southern France known, according to Albert Bichot, for its diversity. Its four terroirs, with different yet complementary climates, are said to produce “subtle, well-balanced” wines. The Horizon winery is located in Gardie, near Carcassonne.

Horizon de Bichot Pinot Noir 2016 is described as a fresh wine with flavours of red berries, pepper and menthol.

Horizon de Bichot Chardonnay 2016 is complex, with hints of almond, grapefruit, lily and vanilla.

The wines are presented in screw-capped Burgundy-style bottles, with labels which echo the Albert Bichot logo: a stag whose antlers transform into vine stocks that blend with the horizon.
