Tito’s Handmade Vodka owner Fifth Generation Distilled Spirits has named Nick Cook as Managing Director, International Sales.
He takes over the responsibilities of long-time, highly respected Managing Director International John McDonnell, who will leave Tito’s at the end of this year.
Cook previously spent 17 years at drinks group Diageo in various international leadership roles. Most recently, he was General Manager, Global Travel for Europe and the Americas.
At Tito’s, Cook will guide the global commercial team, responsible for international domestic markets, global travel retail, military and the cruise channel.
Cook said: “I’m delighted to represent the Tito’s team. I’ve long admired the brand and it’s an extremely exciting time to partner with such an incredible business whilst building on the amazing foundation from John and the team.
“Tito’s is already established in many places around the world and I’m looking forward to drawing on my international experience to cement it as a truly global brand.”
McDonnell commented: “I could not be prouder of the work that the team and I have accomplished over my combined 15 years at Tito’s. Starting from just a couple of markets in North America, together we have opened almost 150 countries and islands across the globe, and Tito’s is now available at some 700 airports around the world.
“I’m very pleased to now pass those reins to Nick, who I know will be an excellent complement to the Tito’s team and I’m excited to see what the next 15 years brings under his leadership.
