SINGAPORE. Nuance-Watson (Singapore) last night captured the Travel Retailer of the Year prize at the annual DFNI Awards for Travel Retail Excellence in Asia Pacific.
The retailer won the main award for the third year in a row, and also landed the title of Best Fragrances and Cosmetics Retailer in the region. Nuance-Watson (HK) also performed well, winning the awards for Best Fashion, Leathergoods & Accessories Retailer, Best Food and Confectionery Retailer and Best Gifts Retailer in Asia Pacific.
Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore retained its title as Airport Authority with the Most Supportive Approach to Travel Retail, and Dimensi Eksklusif won the awards for Best Tobacco Retailer and Best Travel Retailer Operating in a Single Country in Asia/Pacific. DFS Group won Best Liquor Retailer in the region, and Best New Shop Opening for DFS Galleria Macao.
Dubai Duty Free was again named Middle East Travel Retailer of the Year, Korean Air won Inflight Retailer of the Year, and Cathay Pacific won the award for Best Website Serving the Asia/Pacific Travelling Consumer.
Scental Travel Retail (L’Oréal Produits de Luxe International) won Best Supplier of the Year, while Harajuku Lovers (Coty Prestige) won Best New Product Launch.
The awards were held at the Suntec Convention Centre in Singapore and coincided with this week’s TFWA Asia Pacific event.
