Nuvo sparkling liqueur makes debut in P&C zone with DFS Auckland

Nuvo attempts to appeal to female consumers with its perfume-like bottle design

DFS has launched Nuvo, a sparkling liqueur housed in a perfume-like bottle, in the fragrances & cosmetics section of its Auckland Airport store this month.

New from Diageo, Nuvo is a blend of French vodka, French sparkling wine and natural fruit flavouring.

A two-month activation will be supported by brand ambassadors and tasting events, where consumers will be encouraged to experience the Nuvo “perfect serve” – in a fluted glass, over ice.

Diageo GTME APAC Regional Marketing Manager Edward Mirana said: “We are confident that Nuvo will establish a new and exciting segment in the global drinks market. We believe that it will surprise and delight female consumers with its fantastic taste and unique visual stand-out. We consider it the perfect offering for women, either as an indulgent purchase for themselves, or as a luxurious gift with a real sense of occasion.”

DFS General Manager for Auckland Airport Julian Bottaro added: “We are thrilled to be the first location in Australasia to offer our customers the latest innovation from Diageo. Our female travellers are excited by the new product, and we are looking forward to a successful promotion.”

Nuvo is available at DFS stores in Auckland Airport priced at NZ$38.00 (US$31.00).
