INTERNATIONAL. Omron Healthcare, the global leader in digital home blood pressure monitors, presented its latest models to the duty free trade in Latin America for the first time at the ASUTIL Conference this year.
The company also presented its line of healthcare products, including nebulizers, heart rate monitors, digital scales, pedometers, fitness analyzers, and digital thermometers.
With the trend towards health, wellness and a growing awareness of hypertension risks and the need for home blood pressure monitoring, the digital blood pressure monitors market is growing at a faster rate than most categories, Omron said.
Global statistics cited by Omron show that one in three adults has hypertension, and with doctors recommending that these patients measure their blood pressure daily, the company believes that the demand for home blood pressure monitors will continue to increase.
Omron products are said to offer certified accuracy, clinical validation, portability, ease of use, a long warranty and low defective rates.
