FRANCE. Eyes Corner – Optic to Go, a pioneering brand in optical convenience, is targeting broader travel retail expansion with plans to launch its concept at key airports in France.
Initially launched as Eyes Corner at Bordeaux Mérignac Airport, the brand has since established a presence at Nice-Ville railway station, offering an innovative optical vending machine stocked with a range of reading glasses, sunglasses and accessories.

Founded by optician Ambre Garcia, Optic to Go was born from her personal experience and a challenging time. After an assault in 2014 when she was managing an optical shop in Mérignac, she began exploring ways to serve customers remotely. This led to the creation of Europe’s first fast and convenient glasses vending machine.
Building on this insight, she developed a 24/7 service tailored to address travellers’ urgent optical needs.
After years of research and enhancements, Garcia debuted the concept at Bordeaux Airport in 2017, followed by the current successful installation at Nice-Ville railway station.
Despite challenges, including a contractual dispute leading to the removal of earlier machines, her commitment to creating value for customers has ensured the project’s continued success at Nice-Ville station.
While she acknowledges the difficulties in securing large-scale funding, she firmly believes in Optic to Go’s potential to become a market leader. Her focus is on sustainable growth and genuine innovation, setting her apart from larger brands that have struggled despite significant investment.
Garcia’s upcoming plans for the brand include expanding its presence into airports, where she sees high demand for convenient, quality optical products. She is also seeking investment partners who are not only interested in the product but are eager to join a journey that combines innovation with real-world impact. ✈
