Origins goes large to bolster Plantscription anti-ageing portfolio

Plantscriptionâ„¢: “one of the most significant product launches in the history of the Origins brand”

Origins is set to introduce a new, bigger 50ml size of its Plantscriptionâ„¢ Anti-aging Serum. It will be available in travel retail from January 2012.

The treatment, launched in the channel in March as a 30ml, is clinically proven to have up to 88% of the wrinkle-reducing effects of leading prescription anti-wrinkle ingredient, retinoic acid – but without the unwanted side effects of photosensitivity, skin shedding, burning, stinging, redness, dryness, flaking and itching.

The line was further extended in October, with the introduction of Plantscriptionâ„¢ Anti-aging Eye Treatment.

Researched for over five years in partnership with plant scientists at the University of Strasbourg, France, Plantscriptionâ„¢ was tested in a face-to-face 20-week study against a gold standard prescription anti-wrinkle ingredient, retinoic acid.

Plantscriptionâ„¢ showed both immediate and long term results when used faithfully, according to the brand. After only four weeks of use, the serum showed up to a 51% reduction in the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and after 12 weeks:
– Up to 57% reduction of the overall appearance of lines and wrinkles
– Up to 64% improvement in the appearance of lift
– Up to 41% improvement in skin’s look of firmness

“Plantscriptionâ„¢ is one of the most significant product launches in the history of the Origins brand,” declared Origins Global President and General Manager Jane Lauder.

“This revolutionary, patent-pending anti-ageing serum is proven to help support skin’s natural fibrillin, its critical elastic fibre, and in doing so has trumped all of our benchmarks,” added Origins Senior Vice President, Product Development Lynn Mazzella.
