Coty-owned prestige skincare brand Lancaster celebrated its Sun Sensitive Oil-Free Soothing Emulsion with a series of summer activations in Hainan, China.
The interactive events highlighted the product’s sun-protection capabilities.
From 18 May to 30 June, Lancaster ran a pop-up on Wuzhizhou Island and at the cdf Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex in Haitang Bay in partnership with China Duty Free Group (CDFG).
At the pop-ups, visitors engaged with different interactive activities, all highlighting the sun-protection benefits of the Sun Sensitive Oil-Free Soothing Emulsion.
From 1 to 28 June, Lancaster hosted another pop-up at the cdf Haikou International Duty Free Shopping Complex in partnership with CDFG. Visitors were able to test their daily sun exposure using UV cameras and attend skincare classes led by experts who offered sun-protection tips.
In addition, Lancaster partnered with several five-star hotels in Sanya to offer bespoke experiences, themed drinks and skincare packages for travellers.
To celebrate World Ocean Day (8 June), Lancaster joined a local environmental campaign called ‘Together with LAN, Protect Pure Coral Sea’, in partnership with the Blue Ribbon Ocean Conservation Association, CDFG and Wuzhizhou Island.
The initiative brought together different stakeholders in Hainan – including research organisations, socially responsible companies and volunteer divers – to protect and restore damaged coral reef ecosystems in Sanya.
Lancaster also drove awareness about ocean protection through a series of art exhibitions, marine biodiversity photography shows and handicraft workshops, with participants receiving certificates from the Blue Ribbon Ocean Conservation Association.
