Osborne rings in Year of the Horse with Gold Gin pop-up at KLIA and travel-exclusive Cinco Jotas packaging for Europe

Wine, spirits and gourmet food company Osborne is welcoming the Year of the Horse with a Gold Gin pop-up bar in partnership with PBH Duty Free at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) arrivals in Malaysia.

The PBH Duty Free Gold Gin activation offers sampling and highlights one of the expression’s key ingredients, Spanish tangerines. The promotion targets both gifting and self-purchase leading up and during Lunar New Year.

Gold Gin is produced using traditional distillation and maceration methods. The base spirit, made from French grain alcohol, is distilled five times, resulting in a refined spirit balanced by citrus notes.

Osborne Global Travel Retail Manager Cathy Rolland said, “Lunar New Year is an extremely important and dynamic period for travel retail, and Gold Gin is perfectly positioned to resonate with travellers seeking something special – whether for gifting or self-indulgence.

“This activation at KLIA reflects Gold Gin’s super-premium credentials, from the French origin of the liquid to its unique marriage with Spanish tangerines. It offers a golden way for Osborne, our partners and customers to celebrate the Year of the Horse.”

Cinco Jotas presented with festive flair

Simultaneously, Osborne is marking the Lunar New Year season with travel retail-exclusive packaging for its Cinco Jotas premium ham brand, available at select airports across Europe.

Osborne’s 100% Iberian acorn-fed Cinco Jotas ham is offered in a festive sleeve for the Year of the Horse.

Rolland added, “With Gold Gin and Cinco Jotas, we are showcasing two very different but equally iconic expressions of the Osborne portfolio.

“Both speak to authenticity, craftsmanship and premium gifting – values that resonate strongly with travellers during Lunar New Year. Together, they underline our commitment to creating distinctive and meaningful experiences in travel retail.”
