Bang & Olufsen’s EarSet 2 will be available onboard Swiss flights from April |
GERMANY. The new Bang & Olufsen EarSet2, the company’s latest Bluetooth solution for the travel retail market, will be available onboard Swiss International Air Lines (Swiss) flights from the beginning of April, German distributor Pasco has announced.
Swiss who have added the unit to its “˜selected trendsetters’ duty free selection say EarSet2 will retail onboard for CHF369 or around €228.
“This is the first airline to do so and we have high expectations for the product. Since Bluetooth is a standard that has been adopted worldwide, the headset will work with a large number of mobile phones from different manufacturers. One flick of the microphone, and the headset turns on,” said Pasco General Manager Worldwide Robert Suter.
EarSet2 contains two omni-directional microphones which are used alongside Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology to accurately capture the sounds intended. The technology assists in filtering and suppressing wind noise, to aid voice transmission.
“We at Bang & Olufsen are excited about the reception EarSet 2 will receive in the travel retail market,” said Bang & Olufsen Business Manager Brian Stilling Laursen. “Our customers have asked for this product, and we have waited until we can get it exactly right with our stringent requirements for stable and quality audio transmission.”
