Passenger traffic grows at Austrian Airlines Group

AUSTRIA. Passenger traffic at the Austrian Airlines Group grew +5.6% to 620,000 in December compared to the same month last year.

Passenger numbers fell -4% for the whole of 2003 to 8.5 million.

The Austrian Airlines Group comprises Austrian Airlines, the charter line Lauda Air and regional carrier Austrian Arrows.

Austrian Airlines Group CEO Vagn Soerensen said: “The trend we originally detected several months ago – that passenger numbers and load factors on our scheduled services were rising again due to our targeted marketing offensives since September accelerated in December.”
