HONG KONG, CHINA. Travel hospitality specialist Plaza Premium Group (PPG) has opened a premium VIP passenger lounge named Infinity Room at Hong Kong International Airport.
Located in Terminal 1, the lounge features what the company describes as a “sanctuary-like space” exclusive for elite travellers.
The opening was a response to the growing travel demand as Hong Kong Airport set a new post-pandemic daily passenger record of over 171,000 in July.
Dubbed ‘lounge within a lounge’, the recently revamped Infinity Room is conveniently located within Plaza Premium First, adjacent to Gate 1.
The private area serves as an extension of the bespoke all-inclusive lounge reserved for invited guests, such as airline partners’ first class and business class travellers. Walk-in guests can also purchase full access to the first-class service at the Infinity Room.
The lounge is designed with a modern interior and well-decorated with cosy seating, furnishings and a curated selection of contemporary artworks.
Infinity Room offers 24-hour dining, with an all-day menu featuring dishes that combine Chinese and Western flavours.
The menu features made-to-order dishes with a selection of breakfast classics served until 11am, followed by an all-day menu offering a variety of international specialities.
Vegetarian and gluten-free choices are also available, as well as a premium beverage selection of single malt whiskeys, brandy Cognac, wines, spirits, Chinese and Western teas, and juices.
Infinity Room’s dining experience varies throughout the day, starting with afternoon high tea, including a selection of sweet and savoury bites with top-quality Chinese and Western teas, followed by evening tapas and late-night sweet snacks.
Committed to providing “exceptional hospitality”, Plaza Premium First offers travellers a place to relax, unwind and freshen up before continuing their journey.
A round-the-clock personalised service is provided by brand ambassadors in the lounge, assisting guests with on-site amenities, including shower room facilities and a complimentary ten-minute neck and shoulder massage available for walk-in on a first come, first served basis.
Infinity Room’s VIP guests can also enjoy the ALLWAYS buggy service, shuttling guests straight to their boarding gate for a more convenient travel experience.
Plaza Premium Group Chief Transformation Officer Mei Mei Song said: “At PPG, we transform and innovate with travellers in mind, and there has been a noticeable increase in demand for high-end experiences from affluent travellers, especially those from China and the Middle East.
“With that in mind, we introduced the Infinity Room in Plaza Premium First, a high-end lounge brand under our portfolio designed for elite travellers. This new exclusive space offers enhanced luxury, privacy and personalised services – attributes that are often rare to find in an airport setting.”
After a debut in Hong Kong, the group hopes to expand the Infinity Room concept to other global destinations. ✈
