QATAR. Qatar Duty Free and Swiss watch company Frederique Constant have completed a highly successful promotion at Doha International Airport. The campaign ran for three months from November to January and generated an increase of over +60% in Frederique Constant sales.

Every customer who purchased a Frederique Constant watch was entered into a raffle draw to win exclusive watches from the company as lucky prizes.

Frederique Constant watches were introduced by Qatar Duty Free in November 2009 and have become a fast-growing brand since, the retailer said.

“We had always targeted Frederique Constant watches to be in our assortment and were waiting to make sure we could provide the location and space the brand deserves,” said Qatar Duty Free Senior Vice-President Keith Hunter.

“We had no doubt that Frederique Constant would be one of the top five watch brands and it has lived up to our expectations. The watches have elegant and classic designs and appeal to our passenger profile.

“In the three-month promotion period, we saw a huge increase in the sales of the watches category and an overall increase in Frederique Constant brand awareness. With prices ranging from US$470 to US$5,600 there is a watch for every spending profile.”
